Billy F. Gibbons Atlantic city reviews
Another Great One
Loverboy, after over 40 years, it was great to see them again. I have attended many “throw-back concert...one of my wife and I have it was. They kicked it off with their array of popular radio/MTV hits...and then showed REO Speedwagon what a tight band is supposed to sound like. Their energy was amazing, as they belted out hit after hit as if it were 4+ decades ago. I thought to myself...REO may have just stolen the show, that’s how good they were. But, Billy F. Gibbons blew Shoreline apart. After half a century in the business, nothing has changed (in a good way). They rocked the house...then brought it down with a two-shot encore of Mr. Roboto and Renegade. The vocals of Dennis De Young, Tommy Shaw, and James Young are perfectly preserved. As musicians, their only rivals maybe Kansas. PS....the drummer for Billy F. Gibbons is the phucking best, no wasted moment or flash, but as quick as a machine gun as he carried the bottom end with the bassist. The show was amazing once again. Parking directives and signage were not that clear entering the area of the venue...but we figured it out in a bit (actually it was free if you found the right lot. All in all...a great show.
